Since the first SEA Games was held in 1959 when Vietnam was one of its founders, Vietnam has continued to confirm its role among the top members. SEA Games 25 in particular became an unforgettable time for the Vietnamese athletes due to their contributions to the national sports sector, with 83 gold, 75 silver and 57 bronze medals, ranking second in the medal tally at these Games. |

| Shuttlecock Kicking: A Triumphal Return

Shuttlecock kicking is a popular folk sport that dates back to 200 BC. In recent years it has developed widely in Vietnam and some other countries in the world. To further promote the development of the sport, the International Shuttlecock Federation was found in 1999 in Hanoi with the participation of eight delegations.
