A few days before Tet Ong Cong, Ong Tao (the ritual to see off Kitchen Gods who return to Heaven to report to the Jade Emperor) on December 23rd of the lunar calendar, the red carp rearing village of Thuy Tram in Tuy Loc Commune, Cam Khe District, Phu Tho Province becomes more animate with people from far and near stopping by to purchase red carp in respect of the celebrated day. Each year, Thuy Tram villagers sell dozens of tonnes of the fish to markets nationwide. |
