Dao Xa Village’s Festival: August 28-29 (lunar July 9 - 10)

Time:  August 28-29 (lunar July 9 - 10)

Place: Dao Xa Village, Thanh Thuy District, Phu Tho Province

Feature: The festival is dedicated to famous General Ly Thuong Kiet (1019-1105) who led the army to defeat the Song invaders in 1077. During the festival, villagers hold a mass and particularly a boat-race participated by two teams of the North and the South. Each team includes 24 young men in red costumes.
