Foreign Ambassadors and Charge d'affairs to Vietnam offering
incense at Do Temple. |
On the occasion of the Canh Dan New Year 2010 (Year of
the Tiger) and in welcoming the 1,000th grand celebration of Thang Long-Hanoi held in
October 2010, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Hanoi Friendship
Organization and Bac Ninh Province People's Committee co-organized a cultural
exchange programme, titled "Friendship Spring Tour", to visit historical relics
in Bac Ninh Province. Thirty ambassadors and charge d'affaires, heads of the
diplomatic corps and representatives of UNESCO and international organizations
working in Vietnam attended the event. They joined in offering incense at Tieu
Pagoda (Thien Tam Pagoda) in Tuong Giang Commune, Bac Ninh Province, and
visiting and offering incense at Do Temple where the eight kings of the Ly
Dynasty are worshipped.
On behalf of the diplomatic
corps, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and Deputy Chief of the diplomatic
corps in Vietnam, El Houcine Fardani, expressed thanks for the warm sentiments
from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnamese people for
the diplomatic corps working in Vietnam.
