During the years of severe war, hundreds of painters
joined the army to fight against the enemy and sketched the most violent
moments of the struggle for national independence and
reunification.
 Heaven Gate - 1973.
Many of the sketches were created on pieces
of old newspapers, packs of cigarette, using only charcoal and half baked
brick. Many painters laid down their lives right after finishing a sketch.
Some of the sketches have been preserved as evidence of a glorious time
when the human dignity and boundless sacrifice for national independence
was upheld.
