It is said
that his recent paintings of landscapes and countryside seem to be a dream
that reminds one of a sweet childhood, full of memories, with typical
rural sceneries of late afternoons with smoke from cooking fires,
stubble-fields, small hamlet alleys, buffaloes, village’s gates, scorching
days or moonlit nights. His paintings are poetic and sad but warm the
heart, revealing the world of the artist’s innermost feelings in every
stroke and refined colour.
By a
strong, liberal and modern style and harmonious combination of colours,
painter Le Anh Van creates a rustic and peaceful Vietnamese countryside
and shows his nostalgia and dreams of the native land which preserves his
never-to-be-forgotten childhood.
