collection. | A total of 600 spring and summer fashion items
by 16 independent designers and two designers from Viet Thang Garment
Joint-Stock Company were featured on the catwalk of Vietnam Spring-Summer
Fashion Week 2009 that previewed a new trend in
Vietnam
’s
fashion.
Fashion Week, held by Vietnam National Textile Garment Group (Vinatex ) in
co-ordination with the Fashion and Design Institute (FADIN), provided an
opportunity for fashion designers to introduce their latest modes that are
highly applicable, environmentally friendly and suitable to the dynamic

| Apart from breakthroughs in
combining dark colours of black, brown, grey, etc, and bright colours of
spring, such as yellow, red, orange and green, the collections, revolving
around cubic forms and volumes, showed the intersection of synthetic
natural materials and colours, and the development in techniques of
creating plaits.
Fashion Week showed the aspiration of fashion designers to promote the
Vietnamese fashion to step by step integrate into the world’s fashion
industry.
